CAT tools

Technical translations demand the use of reliable CAT (computer-assisted translation) translation tools. My first contact with CAT software was in 2003, with Trados 5 and MS Helium.

Currently I work with SDL Trados Studio 2019 and Déjà Vu X3. Working on different projects I have gained significant experience with memoQ, WordFast and WordFast Pro. When needed, I use Xbench for quality control, and Olifant to edit translation memories.

Cloud environments that I have worked in so far: XTM Workbench, AGITO Translate, SDL WorldServer, Smartling, Across, Idiom.

Dictionaries, thesauri

Dictionaries and thesauri that I prefer include Longman Dictionary of the English Language (printed and online monolingual editions) and Merriam-Webster online thesaurus. Over time, I have collected dozens of English-Serbian and monolingual Serbian reference books, such as Dictionary of Serbo-Croat Literary Language by Matica Srpska (6-volume edition).
